An edging of stone creates a beautiful garden border.
The Purpose and Beauty of Stone Edging
Stone edging refers to when we use the single stone to create a boundary. You may have heard it referred to as ‘curbing’. Edging is dug into the ground, and sometimes a concrete footing may be necessary to ensure that the stones do not shift. Edging creates borders around garden beds or at the edge of a gravel path or driveway. Sometimes edging replaces a very short retaining wall. It can be very funky and lumpy, or it can be very linear and level. It depends on the application and the preferences of the client.
